Husqvarna Lawn Mowers - Starting

Due to protective coatings on the engine, a small amount of smoke may be present during the initial use of the product and should be considered normal.

First, be sure the fuel valve is in the “on” position. To start a cold engine, move the choke control lever to the choke position. Next, hold the operator presence control bar against the handle. To start the engine, pull the starter handle quickly. Do not allow the starter rope to snap back. To stop the engine, release the operator presence control bar. Wait until the blade and all moving parts have stopped and turn the fuel valve to the “off” position if you do not intend to restart the engine soon.
